ALROSA sells rough diamonds in Dubai for $8.3 mln

MOSCOW, Feb 25 (PRIME) -- Russian uncut diamond giant ALROSA raised U.S. $8.3 million from the sale of 121 rough diamonds with a total weight of 1,950 carats at an auction in Dubai, the company said in a statement Monday.

The diamonds were purchased by 31 firms from various countries. Firms from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India, Belgium, Israel, Hong Kong, Russia, and the U.S. took part in the auction.
